Xie'er was adopted by a man who played him and several other pretty, vulnerable "sons" against each other with a combination of horrifying tactics. Xie'er was the last one standing, and responsible for the death of at least one of the other victims. While he absolutely sees Zhao Jing as his father, their relationship is and has been sexual since adolescence. While Xie'er has figured out some of Zhao's gaslighting and abuse, he doesn't understand this as a problem or himself as a victim.
The topic probably won't come up organically, but only because he's a private person and would simply see it as scandalous, not a gross violation.
